IMCP and ACCA to work together following the signing of new agreement between accountancy bodies |

Professional Accountancy bodies, the Instituto Mexicano de Contadores Públicos (IMCP) of México and ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) which will result in them working closely together on a number of future initiatives.
The MOU, signed recently, will mean the two bodies will cooperate on a number of projects. These will include sharing information about issues affecting the accounting profession, including regulatory developments in Europe and North, Central and South America. The bodies will also work together on professional ethics, technical research, continuing professional development, professional accountancy training, education and examinations. This will include looking at ways of sharing materials developed for continuing professional development. They will meet on a regular basis to review co-operation in the previous year and develop programme of joint activities for the following year. ACCA Chief Executive Allen Blewitt said: “We are delighted to have signed this comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding with IMCP which will ensure that we can work closely in a number of areas, and can share valuable information which will benefit the Mexican profession and ACCA members around the world”.
